The Distillery

In the quest to express hundreds of years old tradition of making the local brandy “rakija” and to provide diversified portfolio of products, our most recent endeavor was the installation of continuous two-column distillery.

Carefully selected grapes from Tikves and Ovcepole vineyards and controlled distilling process have resulted in making the finest 100% wine distillate. Each drop makes its way through the 20 meters high clock-tower distillery at Imako Vino to produce spirits with premium taste.  In the heart of the distillery is a continuous two-column unit made from cooper and inox that enables controlled distillation in order  to produce spirit of highest purity.

The brandies (rakija) are then aged in oak barrels in order to achieve all round taste and smoothness.  Difference in ageing periods and types of oak barrels result in creating brandies with unique style and aroma characteristics.
